Chapter 1: [New Powers]

Allen smashed through one of the meteors just before clashing his fists with Brinn. For a moment, the time slowed between them. Brinn still had her maniacally wide grin and Allen smiling back with a smirk. The two made eye contact, silently acknowledging the fact that one of them was only going to be the victor of this fight. Allen planned to be the one who wins.

"Allen's the name, by the way," He introduced himself as they started to fall along with the meteors around them. "Just thought you should know before I knock the daylights outta you!"

Oppstande eyed Yato. He was in a ready position with his sword and clearly knew what he was doing. But Oppstande guessed that these knights wouldn't be the easiest fight. So he decided to go for a bit of entertainment.

With his angle, Oppstande had a fair shot at the knight. Outstretching his arm. He charged his palm with energy and fired Angel's bolt at the knights left leg.

Yato analyzed the darkness. Hew automatically knew how to cancel it out. Yukine. Make a light show.It was the good emotion right?We also need speed and power, so do that too.

"Got it." Sekki began to glow, then quickly the blade became invisible. "Come at me."He said as he tensed up. There was no telling what he was gonna do and his expression was eerily strange.

Finishing her first bottle, Nox reached over and grabbed 7 more and set them next to her. She removed the cork on one and took a sip. Nox then grabbed a dozen more bottles, emptying some of them on the ground and haphazardly placing the bottles around her. When that was done she grabbed her full battle and sipped it only occasionally, watching the door. Waiting.

Nox looked up from her bottle as the knight tumbled in "Oye! the fuck you doin in here! Get outta muh cellar, cant ya see I am trying to enjoy a few drinks here?!"

Solara swooped down. There was no way that he could dodge in that cramped cellar. She ran over to the edge and blasted the knight with a barrage of meteors. By the time she sw Nox, it was too late. Oh well, Nox had phasing powers, she would survive, hopefully.

Allen dodged the slash easily and jumped on a falling meteor. Almost instantly, the meteor's fiery glow disappeared and became nothing more than a lump of rock. Allen dug his fingers into the cooled meteor.

"Alright, should this one count considering we're surrounded by shooting stars," Allen shouted back as he  swung the cooled rock to hurtle at Brinn's direction. "Girls like that, right?"

"Oye! What are you doing you bloody brute!"

Solara gathers a cluster of meteors in her hands and jumps into the cellar. She hurls them all at the bottom of the metal barrier, causing it to flip over. Solara then blasts the knight straight in the face with 6 meteors.

Allen yet jumped on another meteor and it's glow disappeared just as the other before. He pushed off the rock at an amazing speed as he clenched and pulled back his fist for a punch.

Just as Brinn dodged the projectile, Allen appeared right in front of her with his fist aimed at her unarmed torso.

"Don't get flustered now," He laughed. "I was only joking!"

Solara runs straight forward, throwing Nox above with super strength to protect her. She delivers a straight dragonic punch right to the Knights face.

"Not done yet!" Allen said appearing once again in front of Brinn.

"Quick while she's dazed!" Illus instructed him. "Use Crater Maker!"

Allen crunched his torso and, with an explosive reflex, executed his attack with both his fists aimed again for the same spot on Brinn's torso.

Solara stands up. "It is done." She flies out of the wine cellar. "You alright, Nox? I killed the guy if you want to take some of his stuff." She calls.

Landing lightly on her feet Nox went over the knights body and began picking it over for anything she deemed valuable, which incidentally, was absolutely everything.

Dekal stood up in shock. Most people couldn't dodge Angel's Bolt. It was the fastest spell he had. Then again, the knight likely sensed the energy pooling before he fired the spell. Such cheap tricks.

Oppstande flew quickly across the street, fast enough that only someone very observant could see his silhouette. Positioning himself again out of the Knight's sight, he conjured three Angels orbs. Directing them to attack the knight from his back and sides.

Solara decided to leave Nox alone with her newfound treasures (both the Knights loot and the wine) and flew off in another direction, attempting to find Allen and Brinn.

Allen did not expect Brinn to recover so fast. Wind blasted Allen straight on his face before connecting his attack. Allen was pushed back a few metres away. He landed half-kneeling, still facing the girl-knight.

"Tch," Allen grunted as he wiped off the blood from his bursted lip. Even if it was a wind attack, it was as if he felt a punch land square on his face. "She's tough alright."

"Allen her sword... Something's going on with it."

"Okay, let me get a better look."

Allen tried to look beyond the dust that swirled between him and the knight.

After storing all her new gear Nox picked up another bottle of wine and vanished from the cellar, leaving the now naked corpse behind. Appearing in an alleyway a few blocks away Nox began staggering down the street, occasionally taking swigs from the bottle, heading in the direction of the Palatine where Caesar resided.

Oppstande was sure that his little trap would get at least one Orb through. When suddenly the knight summoned a black wall and started firing bullets at him through it. Oppstande barely had time to react, conjuring Angel's Shield and flying upwards. But not before three bullets hit his abdomen, causing painful welts to appear. Oppstande kept the shield up and conjured Ange's beam, flying directly towards the knight, intending to shatter the knight's shield with his own and stab him with angel's beam.

"MAGIC!" Illus warned just in time.

Allen quickly pulled up a big pile of rubble in the way of the purple circle. The speeding circle hit the rock and bound around it. As soon as Brinn's spell or so it seemed hit the debris, Allen was barely able to hide behind a building in time. All the meteors have fallen around them. People were in panic as they ran past Allen screaming for their lives. This part of the city fell in catastrophe. Some buildings and walls were collapsing. Smoke and heat filled the air making it a struggle for Allen to breathe. But the worst part was that he had to see the painful sight of corpses where he hid. He did not like Rome but the people of this city never deserved this.


"Crap, what the hell was that?" Allen asked in between his breaths. "A knight using magic?"

"Binding magic. It looks like she intends on catching you alive." Illus told him.

"Well, she can die trying." Allen muttered as he looked over to see if Brinn was anywhere close by. Before fighting Brinn, he was confident he would win this bout. Now that he's seen her wield magic, his chances of dominating this battle dwindled.
