Chapter 1: [New Powers]

Jason nodded in agreement with Anya, being sure to keep an eye on Nox. He wouldn't want her stealing any of his things if she truly did steal Panda's sword. "Well they could have sent the army to get rid of them," he added his opinion with a raised finger.

"Let's just say I have many contacts in the black market."

Anya glanced over at Jason confused. She honestly thought he was insane and awkward "They probably already tried that. I think we are his last resort....and maybe so he can keep an eye on what powers we possess. He might be seeing if we will try to over power him. But getting us working as a team is not good in his favor....Maybe he is keeping an eye on us and will get rid of us if he deems necessary." She looks at Nox curiously "Wait how good are your contacts?"

For me i had no choice to ignore the letter i was literally kidnapped though we have kind of ignored the option we could go to war with the King himself and put someone nicer on the throne couldn't we, like hes called us because of our potential strength...what is stopping us.

Anya shakes her head sighing "I would love that but that would make the people scared of us and thinking we have full control over the kingdom"

"Black market?" Jason echoed looking at Nox warily. It was official, she had to be a thief. He then looked at Anya, "That's also true.But it's still strange that he'd forcibly draft us all and send us on our merry way all on the same morning."

In response to Anya's question Nox simply chuckled, then to Jason, "Yes, the black market. Is that a problem?"

Anya rolls her eyes at Nox not answering her. She turns to Jason and nods "Yeah...like I said it is ridiculous to draft us for no reason. He wants our powers for some reason and I don't trust him"

"Maybe we could some how dethrone him without anyone knowing... Creep up insider and consume it..we be like a monster ...in this world of wonder....think twice....chain of thought can be ultered .." Bianca would summon some head phones from her Book, and plug in the Connection to her Book....

Jason nodded at Nox, "Just... didn't think people like you would speak about it publicly."

Jason was skeptical at Anya's remark. "I wouldn't outright accuse him so fast. Well, firstly because that could get me executed, and from what I've seen so far he doesn't seem like the manipulative type."

She raises her eyebrows at Jason "Really? He doesn't? He made us all come. He forced us. If we didn't come he probably would have us killed. So here we are, being FORCED to do the work of his army who isn't strong enough against his enemy"

"Do we even know he has an army?"

"Think about it. The knight that kidnapped you? He has to have one to protect the kingdom. If he doesn't then he is stupider than I thought."

"Well it doesn't mean the king ordered it," Jason countered. He nodded at Bianca, "Every king has an army, how else would he be able to rule and uphold a kingdom?" Turning back to Anya he continued to hammer his point into her. "There's been countless times that the council would do things without the king's blessing. For all we know a certain knight is behind all of this..." He glanced at Panda leading the group, well out of earshot.

Bianca would ask the groups connection to the Black market..know anyone with a Truth Drug?, we could Truth the truth out of him.

"Ah, well there's Nox who may know something," Jason answered hesitantly. "But I don't know if we should go to that yet." Jason couldn't help but think that this girl tend to go to the extremes.

Anya looks at the two of them and sigh. She thought about the options "Honestly it is probably better to do it now rather than later. At least get someone looking into it. It might take time for them to get the information"

"Now that I can agree with," Jason said with a snap of his fingers, nodding in agreement. "Discretely, of course."

She nods and turns to Nox "Hey Nox, come here a sec" She tells Nox what they were planning "Do you know anyone to get the information for us?"

Nox thought about the request for a moment "Hmm, yes, I have some informants around. I'll send a message the next chance I get... provided I get something worthwhile at the end of it."

Anya rolls her eyes "I can make you more arrows if the information doesn't cut it enough. But if it is juicy information I think that is payment in itself"

Nox shrugged, "Depends on who you sell that information to really."

Anya chuckles and nods "Well once we get it you can sell it to any one you want to"

"Er, anyone that won't use it against of course." Jason added, not too keen on the idea of it backfiring on them.

Solara remained silent and listened intently to this back and forth conversation.
